About the Rare Cancer Treatment Portal

On 29 February 2020, in celebration of Rare Disease Day 2020, Rare Cancers Working Group, former Rare Cancers Europe, launched a brand-new tool whose ambition is to transform the rare cancers treatment landscape: the Rare Cancer Treatment Portal.

The Portal is an informative platform for patients, healthcare professionals (and everyone else!) that is intended to provide up-to-date information about the accessibility of treatments, clinical trials and compassionate use programmes for rare cancers in Europe.

It currently covers three rare disease areas, Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour (GIST), Paediatric Adolescent Wild-Type Syndromic Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumour (PAWS-GIST) and Multiple Myeloma, but RCE aims to expand expanding the Portal to cover additional rare cancers in the near future.
