Programme and registration
The Rare Cancer Patient Advocates Training Course 2021 will virtually take place over multiple days, from January 14 to January 21. Our participants will be given the opportunity to attend all the sessions.
Throughout several sessions the participants will be informed about the latest update on Rare Cancers on the EU Agenda as well as will be introduced to the ESO-ESMO-RCE Clinical Update on Rare Adult Solid Cancer training (16-17 January). Moreover, the attendees will have the opportunity to participate to the Patient Cafés which will be focused on COVID-19 and rare cancers. This session aims to highlight the challenges faced by individual rare cancer patients, patient organisations, and physicians. Lastly, the final session will be split into three different sub-sessions dedicated to patient involvement in clinical research. The sub-sessions will take place between 19 January and 21 January, and they will be centred on patient involvement in clinical trials, patient involvement in clinical registries, and patient involvement in tumour banks.
