General Cancer Patient Support Organisations and Sites

- European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) ECPC represents the views of cancer patients in the European healthcare debate and provides a forum for European cancer patients to exchange information and share best practice experiences.

- Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL) ECL is a pan-European umbrella organisation of national and regional cancer leagues.

- European Organisation for Rare Diseases (Eurordis) EURORDIS is an alliance of patient organisations and individuals active in the field of rare diseases, dedicated to improving the quality of life of all people living with rare diseases in Europe.

- Orphanet Orphanet is a multi-lingual database dedicated to information on rare diseases.

- Rare Cancer Alliance (RCA) RCA’s primary purpose is to disseminate information and provide support to all paediatric (childhood) and adult rare cancer patients.

- Rarer Cancers Forum (RCF) (UK) The RCF offers advice and information to individuals with rare and less common cancers or to their families and friends, providing a ’bespoke’ service by phone/email/post, tries to facilitate networking between patients and/or families affected by the same or similar rarer cancers, raises awareness about rare and less common cancers and the needs of patients, produces educational resources for patients, their families and health professionals, and is involved in securing the best possible services for people living with rarer cancers.

- Cancer52 (UK) Cancer52 is an alliance of organisations in the United Kingdom working to address the inequalities that exist in policy, services and research into the less common cancers and to improve outcomes for patients with these highly challenging diseases.

- Rare Cancer Support Forum A platform where patients and caregivers can share support; treatment-, physician- and facility-related information and personal experiences.

- CART-WHEEL Center for Analysis of Rare Tumors Based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia, the CART-WHEEL Center for Analysis of Rare Tumors invites people and their proxies from all over the world to submit information about their particular tumour so that researchers can develop new insights into these understudied rare tumours.

- Reliable Cancer Therapies Reliable Cancer Therapies (RCT) provides research-based information on cancer therapies and selectively funding the development of promising therapies.

- ecancer ecancer is the leading oncology channel committed to improving cancer communication and education with the goal of optimising patient care and outcomes. By using the latest technologies ecancer works closely with leading figures in oncology to inform and educate the global cancer community.

- ecancerHub ’ecancerHub’ aims to be a hub of information for those affected by cancer, providing an open-access, integrated approach to providing the whole cancer community with high-quality and trustworthy information. ’ecancerHub’ brings together information from major European cancer organisations in one easy-to-use site. The aim of the site is to create a single place where patients, health care professionals, researchers and policymakers can all come together to interact, discuss, debate and build knowledge.

- Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR) ACOR offers access to more than 150 mailing lists that provide support, information, and community to everyone affected by cancer and related disorders.
